Edwardian/20th Century

King Edward VII was only on the throne for nine years from 1901 until his death in 1910 but the architectural style of the period continued until just after the first World War ended in 1918. Fireplaces became less ornate and taller with an eclectic mix of influences from medieval, Georgian and indeed the Arts and Crafts movement.
